Description race~another hilly race
We ran through neighborhoods~which was nice because when I felt I needed to take a walk break, I would allow myself to only walk up to next mailbox…there were alot of shade trees which made it nice. The best part of the race was at the end. There was a trail run…boy, I could feel myself picking up the pace! I thought it was a great race. Although, I wish my time was better…there is always another run!!!

For running since January 25, 2009 (Couch to 5k) Graduated March 23, 2009 At first I was not going to post the email but, it is proof on my improvments. Before March I would not have considered running a 5k…let alone beating a few fellow runners :-)

There were 14 finishers in the Female 40 to 49 age group and
117 finishers in the race.
Your overall finish place was 99 and your age group finish place
was 13. Your overall finish percentile was 85 while your age group
percentile was 93. Your time of 39:46.85 gave you a 12:50 pace per mile.
The race coordination team for Friends of Sudan would like to thank all of you for participating in our 5K and fun walk. We were able to raise $10,000 towards a library/community center building! The needs are tremendous in Sudan and the villagers appreciate anything that will improve the lives of their children and the future of their community.
